A SECOND glass fibre knitting line has been added at Owens Corning India Ltd’s plant at Taloja, Mumbai. This will increase the plant's production of multiaxial glass fibre fabrics. These technical fabrics are used in several key industries, but especially the wind energy market, where demand in India and the surrounding regions is growing rapidly, said Satish Kulkarni, managing director for Owens Corning India Ltd. Owens Corning India is a joint venture between Owens Corning, USA, and Indian company Mahindra & Mahindra. The Taloja plant also produces glass rovings.
